Settled in an extinct volcanic crater of the Monashee Mountain Range, Rossland is a picturesque mining town with unexplored charm and old world personality. After the mining boom, it became known for its great skiing, thanks to 300 inches of yearly snowfall. When the snow subsides, the slopes reveal forested singletrack and abandoned mining roads perfect for its latest booming attraction - mountain biking!
Rossland is the mountain bike capital of British Columbia, and its trails attract riders all summer long and thousands each July for the Rubberhead Classic Mountain Bike Festival. Our tour traverses seemingly endless singletrack through forests, mountain lakes, and stands of pine and cedar.
This area is best-suited for experienced riders with strong bike-handling skills. Steep climbs, technical descents, and numerous obstacles are a part of each day's ride.
