Escape Adventures rents quality bicycles from Cannondale and Ellsworth. If you would like to rent a bicycle for your trip, we will fit you with a high quality, durable and safe ride. Our chosen road bike is equipped with a carbon fiber fork designed for a smooth, comfortable ride. Our mountain bikes are full-suspension, lightweight and adjustable. Availability of the Ellsworth demo bike is specific to your destination and should be confirmed in your itinerary. Please contact us for more information, 800.596.2953. All bicycle rentals are equipped with flat pedals, a tire repair kit and pump, and a complimentary water bottle. Helmet, gloves, handlebar bag and SPD pedals are available upon request, and are included in the rental price. Please specify your individual needs when confirming your reservation. If you are leaving a familiar bicycle at home, we highly recommend bringing your saddle and pedals, our guides will be happy to install them for your during orientation. Full Suspension Mountain Bike Rental - Cannondale Rush
(Available on all tours.)  In 2009, we have chosen the Cannondale Rush as our basic full suspension rental, for Las Vegas and Moab based tours. The Rush is Cannondale's 4.5 inch, endurance machine, perfect for multiple days in the saddle (and made in the USA). For more information concerning specs and geometry, visit the Cannondale website. Demo Mountain Bike Rental - Ellsworth Epiphany (Available on Las Vegas based Tours)  Our demo full suspension rental is the Ellsworth Epiphany. The Epiphany is one of the lightest 5.25" travel bikes in the world. The Epiphany was selected as Outside Magazine's Mountain Bike of the Year and is produced in the USA. Road Bike Rental - Cannondale SystemSix  For more information concerning specs and geometry of the SystemSix, visit the Cannondale website. All road bike rentals are equipped with adjustable stems and a Rival compact crank set. A compact crank uses double chainring configuration with fewer teeth per ring, so you can capitalize on new gear ranges. These smaller rings allow for lower gearing and a higher climbing cadence. They also make the bike lighter than the traditional "triple" ring setup. Individual components on rental bikes may vary slightly. Call for more information.  Camp Gear RentalsWe offer high quality camping equipment because we know that a good night's sleep is the key to a good day's ride. You may rent all or part of our camp gear package. The full package includes the following:
SHIPPING VIA UPS (SHIPPING OPTION AVAILABLE IN LAS VEGAS AND MOAB ONLY) For $90 we will receive your bike, assemble it, tune it to make sure everything works properly, and disassemble it. You are responsible for the cost of shipping to and from the meeting location. You will be charged for return shipping after the tour. If you are shipping your bike, please write your name, trip, and trip date on the outside of the box AND attach this information to your frame. We must receive all shipped bikes no less than four days before your tour. PLEASE CALL prior to tour FOR EXACT SHIPPING ADDRESS. In the past, we have had a number of bikes either damaged and/or delayed by UPS. If your bike is damaged, it can take UPS up to three months to pay for damages. Often, using one of our bikes is the most convenient and cost-effective option. Renting our bike means that your bike will be waiting for you and you will not have to worry about the airlines or shipping companies losing or damaging it. ON THE PLANE Bringing your bike on the plane can be quite costly (up to $75 each way) and will require you to assemble your bike in your hotel room before the tour. Most hotels will let you store your bike container for the duration of the tour. Due to space constraints, we cannot take your bike box on the tour van. However, If you do want to bring your bike, we recommend bringing it on the plane with you rather than shipping it UPS. Call 888-442-4622 for membership information. | ||||
