"Escape
Adventures embodies what we at DeFeet are about: The purest possible
experience in the most beautiful, natural places on Earth. The Eartheator™
sock, small as it is, is a continual reminder of the great, fun things
to do on planet Earth, and the fact that we must preserve as much
as we can. Escape. Explore. Wear great socks."
Paul Willerton, Vice President, DeFeet
In 2007, Escape Adventures guests will have an opportunity to receive a pair of custom designed DeFeet Eartheator™ socks. Launched on Earth Day 2006, this sock is made from corn fiber (PLA), a 100% annually renewable resource. For cycling, hiking, and all kinds of outdoor pursuits, we think Eartheator is the "natural" choice.
Attention to the triple bottom line - the social, environmental and financial implications of conducting business - lies at the foundation of Grounds for Change. Out of this grows quality, commitment and a passion for our trade. The end result is a truly exceptional cup of coffee.
Every single bean that we roast is Fair Trade Certified, Organic Certified and Shade Grown. This means the chance for a real livelihood for coffee growers, a breath of fresh air for the environment and healthy forests for migratory songbirds.
To find out more about what we’re doing at our roastery, including off-setting 100% of our CO2 emissions, running a company car on biodiesel, supporting fair labor practices at home and abroad, working closely with local and national environmental organizations and participating in the 1% For The Planet program, visit the “Learn” section of our website. Positive change. Grounds for Change.
Escape Adventures is excited to serve Ground for Change coffee and teas on our multi-day adventures.
