Cycling the High Sierras
A favorite retreat and source of inspiration for renowned photographer Ansel Adams, and author John Muir (founder of the Sierra Club), the Sierra Nevada hold an important place in our collective history, and in the hearts of all those who have visited this hauntingly special place.
What better way to experience this inspirational scenery than from your road bike! Touring the High Sierra by bicycle means high elevation passes, crisp mountain air, and breathtaking views! We ride from the Old Western town of Markleeville up and over several challenging mountain passes in the California backcountry. Riding through giant sugar pine forests and mountain meadows, this cycling adventure promises a delightful collection of lodging and state park visits along the way. Our trip affords the athletic road cyclist a thrilling journey full of challenges and accomplishments!
