Bryce and Zion National Parks Multi-Sport w/ Road Cycling
From southern Utah's Brian Head Peak, we descend off the mountain through a speedy blur of aspen and pine to Red Canyon State Park. Here, we ride a bicycle path lined with oversized sandstone figures--a preview of things to come.
At Bryce Canyon National Park, our road through the forest brings us to an abrupt opening as we find ourselves suddenly on the brim of a giant basin filled with remarkable stone hoodoos! We take a short hike to examine the channels of bizarre form and color up close.
Cycling back through Red Canyon we descend more than 4,000 feet into Zion National Park as we ride through the stunning sanctuary of the Three Patriarchs, Angel's Landing, and the Great White Throne. While in Zion, we'll have an opportunity to enjoy cycling, hiking, and even canyoneering! On our final tour day, we'll journey to the red cliffs of St. George to challenge ourselves with a half-day of rock climbing, rounding out a great week of adventure in color country. In 2007, our Bryce/Zion support vehicle will be fueled by vegetable oil.
