The White Rim Trail
This mountain bike tour departs from our Moab headquarters at Moab Cyclery.
The White Rim Trail through Canyonlands has become a favorite annual pilgrimage for countless numbers of mountain bikers. Our 4-day bike trip follows the canyons carved by the Green and Colorado Rivers. A multi-colored array of spires, arches, buttes, and mesas comprise the classic high desert scenery of Canyonlands National Park.
Each day of bike touring is filled with unforgettable sights and moments. We ride along a primitive jeep trail lined with blooming cacti and snow-capped mountains shining in the distance. We play on slickrock patches and mountain bike down to the Colorado River for a much-anticipated swim. We find a new appreciation for the Anasazi Indians as we experience their beautiful but harsh desert home - while enjoying the modern conveniences of the tour, of course! Our final day's climb to the top of the Mineral Bottom Switchbacks leaves us with no doubt as to why so many mountain bikers are drawn to the White Rim Trail time and time again. In 2007, our White Rim Trail support vehicle will be fueled exclusively by vegetable oil.
