Death Valley Hiker

While hiking through Death Valley we see a land of subtle beauty and sharp contrast. On the dry lake bed, delicate tissue-thin flowers bring contemporary color to the archaic playa. Walking through Badwater, the lowest point on the continent, makes the view of the highest point (Mt. Whitney, 14,400), that much more remarkable. Hidden high in the hills, much-appreciated desert oases bring an abundance of life to Death Valley.

We spend four days hiking through Death Valley National Park from our base camp tucked away in the Funeral Mountains at the confluence of three canyons. Our last two days are spent in Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area, where we hike through the seven sister canyons into one of the most vivid thrust faults in the world, the Keystone Thrust.

This is a moderate hiking tour with strenuous options. It is ideal for early and late season travel. Call or This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it us for booking, or to speak to a guide about this trip. 800.596.2953
