Ellsworth Owners Retreat
Escape Adventures is pairing up again with Ellsworth Handcrafted Bicycles to create an exclusive retreat with your prized Ellsworth bike (or with one of our Ellsworth demos). Moab, Utah is the perfect backdrop for this annual event. Join the man himself, Tony Ellsworth, and crew for an Escape Adventure the Ellsworthian way!
This trip has a number of customizations based on your availability and preferences. Call us (800.596.2953) for more information or to speak with a guide. If you don’t own an Ellsworth bicycle, but would like to ride one for a week and join this fun group, you may rent one of our Ellsworth demo bikes.
Itinerary
Friday - Arrive AM Ride: Uranium Arch – After meeting the group, your Escape guides and Team Ellsworth, we will shuttle North for our first ride, Uranium Arch. This ride is a little known of the famous Monitor and Merrimac Buttes trail. We will experience the famous Moab backcountry and scenery, including the seldom visited (but spectacular!) Uranium Arch. There will be plenty of time to play on classic Utah slickrock and take plenty of pictures to show those who couldn’t make it.
Following the ride and a shower you’ll be treated to a genuine Escape Adventures feast prepared by your hard working guides.
Saturday Ride: Tony's Big Surprise Ride! Let the man himself, Tony Ellsworth, and your experienced local EA guides take you on an epic all-day adventure. This one will throw a little bit of everything at you, and challenge your bike handling skills. You’ll ride more singletrack than you thought possible in Moab. There will even be a few strategic bail outs for those who don’t want to bite off more than they can chew. You’ll never look at Moab the same way!
Dinner tonight will be a well-deserved BBQ feast with the whole crew!
Sunday Ride: Amasa Back and Pothole Arch - A twist on a classic Moab ride, taking you higher and deeper on to the Amasa Back ridge, this ride's got a little something for everyone. The views from the top will give you a great perspective on the whole Moab area, from behind the rocks to Poison Spider Mesa. A number of options along the way will allow you to extend or shorten the ride depending on your level of experience. For the experts among you the legendary Rockstacker and Jacksons trails are not to be missed. The rest will enjoy a fast and fun descent down the front side of Amasa.
